Since this site is still new, and I’m busily reviewing places, I’ve decided to list my top 5 reasons to eat in Port Chester,  Port Chester has so many places to eat, and so many great things to do, here my  some of my favorites.  For a listing of ALL the restaurants in Port Chester, click on the Restaurants In Port Chester Tab. You’ll be able to read my reviews, and the reviews of some other local people.  Happy, Happy!

  1. Over 110 Restaurants in 2.4 square miles! Lots of them are in our “Restaurant Row”- our Main Streets. You can walk to almost all of them.
  2. Authentic foods-dare to try something different! You can eat your way around the world – literally- From Asian to Steakhouses, and most countries in between. Do you want to have a pupusa- con lomida? Interested in having a taco made the way they are made in Mexico? A homemade ice pop or tortillas hot off the grill- you can get the real deal here- fresh and made to order. From Authentic Columbian, Peruvian, Italian, Indian to Seafood and Barbeque - we have it all.  If there is a new type of cuisine you’ve been dying to try- you can most likely find it Port Chester.
  3. Walking in Downtown Port Chester is a treat!  If you are out early enough, and the shops are open, you can pop into an authentic cowboy leather shop, a florist, a specialized CD shop as you wait for your table.  Or, you can stroll down the promenade on the waterfront. Port Chester is a safe, friendly village to walk through.
  4. Affordable and economical-The restaurants run the price gamut- affordable dining is easily available- you can have lunch for $5- you can eat dinner for 4 for $25- or find haute cuisine at great prices.  Affordability and great food!
  5. Parking is plentiful and free (after 7) - our Marina parking lot and Waterfront Place parking lot (if you’re seeing a movie as well) make parking easy!  Free and plentiful, your favorite restaurants can be found a few steps away.  Street parking is also available throughout the Village.  If dinner and a movie fit the bill- our multiplex is with walking distance of at least 45 restaurants- you can make a night of it.

So, these are my top 5- how many others can you come up with? Don’t forget to check out the Restaurant Listing for great places to try.
